About us

The initial idea was formed to integrate multidisciplinary expertise for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and strategic community-based projects. The Energy Lab platform was utilized as the primary medium to initiate these activities.

Serious discussions were initiated to establish a dedicated research group, Green Technologies and Advanced Matter (GREAT). During this phase, the potential for translating research outputs and innovations into commercial applications began to be explored.

The Green Technologies and Advanced Matter (GREAT) Research Group was officially established, led by its first Head, Ts. Dr. Mohamad Zul Hilmey Makmud. The group became a key driver for research, innovation, and technology development.

The concept and pitching process for establishing a university-linked startup company were developed. The primary objective was to streamline consultancy for community projects and to enhance the commercialization potential of research-based innovations.

EcoInnovate Solutions Sdn. Bhd. was officially incorporated in July 2025 under the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM), marking the formal transition from research-driven initiatives to a structured business entity focused on energy and smart instrumentation solutions.

The company is currently operational, delivering services in renewable energy consultancy, solar solutions, instrumentation, and IoT-based energy monitoring systems, aligned with its mission to provide sustainable and innovative energy solutions.
